Get to Know Us

The Emory Center for Infectious Disease Modeling and Analytics & Training Hub (CIDMATH) was established in fall 2023 as part of Insight Net, a national network of 13 centers dedicated to infectious disease analytics, modeling, and response that is supported by cooperative agreement funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Center for Forecasting and Outbreak Analytics (CFA).

CIDMATH is based at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, a global hub for public health. Our multidisciplinary team includes Emory faculty, staff and students from across campus including the Rollins School of Public Health, the School of Medicine, and the College of Arts and Sciences. As a Insight Net Center, CIDMATH is developing a pipeline of new analytical methods, tools, and platforms for infectious disease modeling efforts that will inform public health decisions. CIDMATH’s community partners include the Georgia Department of Public Health (GDPH), Kaiser Permanente of Georgia (KP), and the Georgia Emerging Infections Program (EIP).

CIDMATH is led by Co-Principal Investigators, Dr. Ben Lopman, PhD, Professor of Epidemiology and Environmental Health, Dr. Natalie Dean, PhD, Associate Professor of Biostatistics, Dr. Allison Chamberlain, PhD, Associate Professor of Epidemiology, and Dr. Katia Koelle, PhD, Professor of Biology.
